How to Use Viagra (Sildenafil):
Take 30-60 minutes before sexual activity on an empty stomach for best results. Effects last 4-6 hours. Do not take more than one dose (25mg, 50mg, or 100mg) per day. Cialis (Tadalafil):
Can be taken as needed (10mg-20mg before sexual activity) or daily (2.5mg-5mg per day) for continuous effect. Effects last up to 36 hours (often called the "weekend pill"). Can be taken with or without food.
Potential Benefits Improves ability to achieve and maintain an erection with sexual stimulation. May enhance sexual confidence and overall satisfaction. Cialis daily may also help with symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH).
Potential Risks and Side Effects While generally well-tolerated, these medications may cause side effects, including but not limited to: Common: Headache, flushing, nasal congestion, upset stomach, back pain (Cialis). Less Common: Dizziness, vision changes (bluish tint or sensitivity to light with Viagra), muscle aches (Cialis).
Serious (Seek Medical Help Immediately): Chest pain or irregular heartbeat. Sudden vision or hearing loss. Priapism (erection lasting over 4 hours) – can cause permanent damage if not treated. Severe allergic reactions (swelling, difficulty breathing).
Do not take Cialis/Viagra if you: Use nitrates (e.g., nitroglycerin) for chest pain – may cause dangerous blood pressure drop. Take guanylate cyclase stimulators (e.g., riociguat for pulmonary hypertension). Have severe heart disease, stroke, or uncontrolled high/low blood pressure. Have severe liver/kidney disease (consult your doctor). Have a history of vision loss (NAION) or severe retinal disorders.
Drug & Food Interactions Do NOT combine with other ED medications or recreational drugs like poppers (amyl nitrate). Alcohol & Grapefruit: May increase risk of side effects or reduce effectiveness. Certain medications (e.g., alpha-blockers, antifungals, HIV medications, antibiotics) can interact – discuss with your doctor.

Please print and show the lab coordinator the requisition form that will be attached in the email. Please note unless discussed, fast before your blood draw. If doing bloodwork for hormone replacement, please do the blood draw the day or morning before your next dosage. Labs can take anywhere between 3-10 days. Once we have received your results we shall email you the results.
