We Specialize In Getting Your Life Back
Do You Have Chronic Pain That Just Won’t Go Away?
Chronic pain can make life miserable for anyone who has it. Maybe a previously injured area still hurts or remains weak, even after a long period. In some cases there’s been no specific injury and you don’t know exactly what caused the problem. You may have tried rest, physical therapy, or manipulations. You may have even had cortisone injections that only gave temporary relief, or surgery that failed to completely resolve the problem. Proliferative therapies, including Prolotherapy, Prolozone™, Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy and Stem Cell/Exosomes are little known but highly effective treatments that can permanently relieve chronic pain and restore function. Dr. Islam has successfully used proliferative therapy on a daily basis for years to successfully treat hundreds of patients.
Damaged Connective Tissue Is Often The Source Of The Pain!
Proliferative therapy works by helping the body repair damaged connective tissue in the problem area. Connective tissue includes the cartilage, ligaments, and tendons that cushion and/or stabilize and support our joints. Cartilage can be torn by sudden improper movements or just worn away from overuse and improper alignment. Accidents, sports injuries, or just plain overuse can cause ligaments and tendons to tear or lose elasticity and become like frayed ropes or lax rubber bands. Full or complete tears must be repaired surgically. However, much more common are micro-tears or general loss of tensile strength in these tissues. Weakened ligaments and tendons put a severe strain on the affected areas and joints causing pain, dysfunction, arthritis, damage to cartilage, and many other chronic problems. In addition to chronic pain, some other key symptoms that ligament or tendon damage is contributing to your problem.
